Free Conversions, Filmed End to End (Two Walkthrough Videos)
Part 1 covers the landing page free try, signup, quick convert, PDF edits, and bookkeeping. Part 2 walks selective conversion, batch jobs, history, and downloads.
You have a PDF statement, a spreadsheet habit, and zero patience for retyping rows. The fastest way to see if a tool fits your workflow is to run your own file through it, not read a feature list.
These two recordings follow the same path a real user takes on FastStatement: free use on the landing page, account creation, then the main workflows inside the app. Use them alongside the step-by-step screenshot guide if you prefer stills over video.
Part 1: Landing page, signup, quick convert, PDF edit, bookkeeping
Part 1 shows the full “first day” path. You will see the landing conversion flow, how free limits show up in the UI, email or Google signup and sign-in, the dashboard, choosing a conversion type, processing, and where quick results land. It also moves into PDF editing (analyze, edit text, export) and the bookkeeping flow (pick files, review balances and tags, export reports).
What to watch for while you play the video:
- Where the product verifies free-tier usage before and after processing, so you are not guessing what counts against your plan.
- How statement type selection lines up with what you upload, so you do not pick the wrong pipeline for a scan versus a digital PDF.
- The handoff from “converted table” to PDF edit and bookkeeping, which is where people usually decide whether they will stay in the product for the month.
After you finish Part 1, you already know how to get from a file on disk to exported outputs without touching a paid checkout. If anything felt fast in the recording, pause and repeat the same clicks on your own PDF. Muscle memory matters more than memorizing menu names.
Part 2: Selective conversion, batch processing, history, and downloads
Part 2 is for the jobs that do not fit a single clean upload. Selective conversion with area OCR, multi-file batch processing with passwords and live progress, checking a long batch from history, and pulling ZIPs, merged downloads, or one-by-one files.
What to watch for in this segment:
- Selective mode when only part of a page holds transactions, so you are not fighting a full-page table detection.
- Batch upload behavior when the tab closes or reloads, and how the cloud job keeps running so you are not tied to one browser session.
- History as an operational tool, not just a log. When a job runs long, you want to see how far it got without staring at a spinner.
When video is not enough
Videos are great for pacing. Screenshots are great when you need to compare your screen to a still frame. If you want labeled steps with every control visible, open the visual step-by-step guide. For deep dives on one topic only, use the focused posts on batch processing, PDF edits, bookkeeping, and history.
